The Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation (ARFF) has set the date for the next Recreational Fishing Forum (RFF) 2027. 2025’s event was a success, and we are planning for this year to be bigger and better.

Forum: Recreational Fishing Forum
Dates: 15–16 October 2027
Location: To be confirmed
ARFF has aligned the forum with Gone Fishing Day (GFD), which will take place on 17 October 2027.
We are currently accepting Expressions of Interest to join our Recreational Fishing Forum organising committee.
The committee will support ARFF by:
- Providing input on the themes and topics for 2027.
- Providing input on speakers
- Providing contributions to workshop concept development.
- Supporting the planning and organisation of the event-day proceedings.
The committee will meet periodically in the lead-up to RFF 2027, though online meetings will be required with some out-of-session input. The expected time commitment is no more than 2 hours per month, including out-of-session input.
