Phil Coles was a passionate and dedicated leader within the Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA). Phil Coles served as a director on the AFTA Board for more than 10 years. Throughout his tenure, he was instrumental in guiding the association through various challenges and opportunities, always with a focus on the betterment of the fishing community. His leadership on the wholesale side of AFTA was marked by his fervent dedication to ensuring the industry’s growth and sustainability.

In addition to his role with AFTA, Phil Coles was also a founding director of the Keep Australia Fishing (KAF) Board. This organisation is dedicated to safeguarding the future of fishing in Australia, advocating for policies, practices, and educational programs that promote sustainable fishing activities. Phil’s vision and leadership were pivotal in the establishment and success of this board, reflecting his unwavering commitment to the cause.
