The Australian Fishing Trade Association has developed a new position to aid in the service delivery to our membership

New Role:  Membership Administration/Communications 

This EOI is for full-time Contract Service Delivery module with flexible hours and flexible location on the East Coast.  It is an exciting opportunity to join the Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA) team, the Recfishing industry peak body representing Wholesalers, Retailers and Industry Media across Australia.

The position reports to the Chair, President & Board and whilst working to drive membership growth through engagement, you will develop communications plans and coordinate monthly communications with our valued membership.

The role encompasses the need to pro-actively research, develop and submit documentation as required to Government/Board/Membership on behalf of AFTA as well as researching and facilitating grants & government initiatives in conjunction  with Board Members.

The AFTA Annual Trade Show and Gala Awards night is the pinnacle of the AFTA year, as such you will be required to provide support to the AFTA Trade Show Manager to assist in the successful delivery of the AFTA Annual Event.

Membership is our backbone, understanding CRM – Customer Management Database is critical to developing AFTA Membership growth.

Ideally you would have the following Core Competencies:

  • Industry experience preferred, 5+ years
  • Competent in Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
  • Background in Sales/Marketing/Communications perfered,  5+ years

Please note that there will be occasional domestic travel supporting the AFTA Board and attending the Annual AFTA trade show.   We would envisage that you are a confident public speaker whose attention to detail is execution focused, obviously a Self-Starter, requiring minimum supervision.
