PUBLIC DAY WORKSHOPS
Get hands-on, learn new skills and pick up tips directly from some of the fishing industry’s leading experts with our FREE interactive fishing workshops, running exclusively on Public Day at the 2026 AFTA Tackle Show.
Covering everything from reel maintenance and soft plastic fishing to impoundment barra, rod building and fly fishing, these practical sessions are designed to help anglers learn, ask questions and take home skills they can put into action on the water.
Each workshop runs for approximately 45 minutes, is completely FREE to participate, and is capped at just 35 participants to keep the sessions interactive and give everyone the opportunity to get involved.
Places are limited and pre-registration is essential, so check out the workshop program and secure your spot before sessions fill up.
Kids under 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Once registered you will receive a confirmation email with details on where the workshops are being held in the Tackle Show halls.
