This is why you support RecFish SA.

What will the package include?

Recreational fishing package announced by Labor Government leadership to assist regional tourism, state-wide fishing opportunities and environmental projects including artificial recreational fishing reefs.

SA Premier Peter Malinauskas and deputy Premier Susan Close with RecFish SA’s Asher Dezsery announce a comprehensive package in South Australia to elevate recreational fishing opportunities, reef habitat recovery, rec fishing business and fish stocking opportunities.

This will increase regional fishing tourism, support businesses by creating customer activity, open new fishing opportunities (reservoirs, lakes, council catchments and rivers) with a focus on regional areas and CBD assets, stock significant amounts of native fish species and trout in SA, create an artificial reef system for recreational fishing and habitat recovery and create events and competitions around the state.

Today’s announcement not only shows leadership in the circumstances and addresses immediate needs in the face of HAB events, but begins a long lasting legacy of recreational fishing and environmental support to be embraced by the community.

RecFish SA also have a commitment to structure and support recreational fishing in a way that celebrates the $1b industry SA fishers contribute to the state, fostering the sector well into the future.

Artificial recreational fishing reef builds to assist the environment to recover.
