2026 SHOW REGISTRATION
The Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA) Tackle Show is open to AFTA members and AFTA’s invited guests on trade days: Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21. All pre-registered visitors are welcome to attend on Saturday, August 22, when we open the doors to the public!
AFTA Members: The entry fee for the tackle show is included with your 2026 membership. Retail and Media members will receive the access link at the primary email address associated with their membership. Exhibitors can obtain the link via the exhibitor portal.
If you have not yet renewed your membership, we recommend doing so promptly to avoid processing delays prior to the Tackle Show.
To renew your membership, simply log in to the Member Portal. If you are not yet a member, please visit our website and apply for AFTA membership to access all benefits and remain informed about upcoming events.
Renewing your membership ensures access to complimentary tickets and streamlines event registration.
The AFTA Tackle Show is primarily a business-to-business (B2B) event designed to connect Australian wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers with Australian tackle retailers and industry buyers. Exhibitors at the Show should have a primary focus on the sale and promotion of tangible fishing or outdoor products relevant to the Australian recreational fishing market.

This badge does not permit wholesaling, selling or conducting business at the Show. Any wholesaler found conducting business while wearing this badge may have their badge confiscated and be asked to leave the venue. |

Trade Days are held on Thursday and Friday. If you do not fit one of the badge categories above, please register for Public Day or email AFTA at admin@afta.net.au to explain why you need to attend.
Public Day is held on Saturday. Anyone may attend, but pre-registration is required and capacity limits apply.
By registering for the Tackle Show, you confirm that you accept AFTA’s Terms and Conditions of Entry. AFTA reserves the right to refuse entry to Trade Days or cancel a Trade Days registration where the relevant badge category requirements, entry conditions or event terms are not met. If you do not accept these terms, please do not proceed with your registration.
2026 GALA DINNER & AWARDS NIGHT

The AFTA Gala Dinner and Awards Night is a highlight of the Tackle Show event. It provides an opportunity to celebrate industry accomplishments, acknowledge outstanding new products, and recognise individuals who have made notable contributions to the sector. AFTA heavily subsidises the cost of each member’s ticket to make it easier for members to be a part of this special night. The ticket includes drinks, dinner and dessert. Seats are limited; purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

AFTA MEMBER MEETING
Thursday, August 20, 2026
5.30pm – 6.00pm
AFTA Members are invited to attend a Member Meeting on Thursday, 20 August 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The meeting will be held in Hospitality Suite 4 in the show hall, accessible via the stairs or elevator behind the Nomad Design stand and will begin at 5.30pm sharp.
The Member Meeting will give members attending the show an update on recent AFTA activities, an address from the AFTA President, a discussion on Commonwealth Marine Parks, and the opportunity to ask questions of the Board during an open forum. A complimentary bar will be available during the meeting.
AFTA AGM
The official 2026 AFTA Annual General Meeting will be held online via Microsoft Teams at 10.00am AEST on Tuesday, 1 September 2026. Members can access the meeting link through their inbox or the Member Portal.
The AFTA Board invites show attendees to join them for networking drinks at Pig ‘N’ Whistle South Bank on the first trade day of the show. Conveniently located just around the corner from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, this relaxed gathering is a great opportunity to connect with fellow members, catch up with industry colleagues and enjoy an informal evening during show week.
AFTA will host a bar tab that includes beer, wine, basic spirits with mixers and finger food. Please arrive early, as the bar tab will run for a limited time. Once it has finished, attendees are welcome to stay on and purchase their own drinks.

RYDGES SOUTH BANK BRISBANE
Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is directly connected to Rydges South Bank Brisbane.
Rydges South Bank Brisbane is located in the heart of Brisbane’s arts and entertainment precinct, with plenty of things to do and only minutes away from South Bank Parklands and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
AFTA’s dedicated booking link for Rydges South Bank Brisbane has now expired.
Any rooms that were not booked by the accommodation deadline have now been released and are subject to general availability.
