2023 Awards

The Best In Show product awards were voted on by the retailers who attended the 2023 trade show. The awards were presented to the winners at the 2023 AFTA Gala Dinner and Awards Night!

This year the Best Stand awards were voted on by the Victorian Fisheries Authority; Women in Recreational Fishing and Boating (WIRFAB).

The Best Tackle Store award was voted on by AFTA member wholesalers prior to the show.

“We understand the pressures that are upon the industry and our staff as a collective unit appreciate the need to encourage participation. We could mention all the fishing clubs, raffles, and giveaways that we contribute to but that is only one piece of the puzzle. The most important part from our point of view is to give customers, and in particular kids, the attention, information and tools necessary to succeed. The public voted on exactly the same product offerings in the same categories that the Retailers did just a few days before … and there were some categories with the same winners while others were very different!
