National Sales Manager Role

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth on a national scale. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.

The position also includes the opportunity to get involved in different areas including product development and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion on a national level.

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales targets.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, wholesalers, and industry stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities.

Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and drive innovation.

Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment of sales strategies with company objectives.

Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.

Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to sales team members to enhance their skills, productivity, and effectiveness.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote brand awareness and strengthen relationships.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations in all sales activities.

Organise and co-ordinate trade shows and product promotions in conjunction with marketing team

Qualifications:

Proven track record of success in sales management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.

Results-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.

Knowledge of the fishing tackle industry and/or outdoor recreation market is preferred.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit regional offices.
