Customer Service Associate – Pure Fishing ANZ

Your new role;
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and action-driven Customer Service Associate to join the dynamic and fast-paced ANZ Customer Service Team.
Reporting to the ANZ Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for the daily interactions with our Australian and New Zealand Customer base.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Role are;
– Processing of orders received via phone, email, and in-house systems.
– Liaising with all internal stakeholders including warehouse, purchasing and sales.
– Exceptional service of inbound and outbound calls with customers.
– Collation and reporting on Customer Service deliverables
– Provide timely solutions for customers’ and consumers’ queries.
– Actively participate in Customer Service meetings
– Ensure “best practice” processes across all areas of responsibility.
– Provide sales, and technical literature and information as required.
– Possess a superior level of product knowledge across multiple product categories.
– Participate in the Support of New Product Launches and Monthly Up Selling programs.

What you will need to succeed:
– A flexible “roll up the sleeves” attitude.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to offer a positive experience to every customer.
– Intermediate Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
– Experience with an ERP Business System such as SAP, JD Edwards, MYOB EXO etc.
– Intermediate skills to learn new technology and navigate computer systems efficiently and accurately.
– A proactive, executional approach and aptitude to prioritise competing priorities in a team environment.
– Confident phone manner and excellent communication skills
– Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
– Ability to start early daily to meet the requirements of the role.

Your new role

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious self-starter who is happy to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and constantly evolving business. You will be an active member of the sales team working closely with internal and external associates. The role is responsible for a selection of strategic accounts in multiple channels.

This important role is responsible for:

  • Sales management of nominated accounts including optimising sales objectives, & exceeding targets
  • Developing customer-specific campaigns to increase market share, product penetration and profitability
  • Developing & maintaining new & existing customer relationships
  • Development of key account proposals & new customer opportunities including new line forms, reports, and presentations
  • Implementing A+ content and compelling selling stories to support online offers
  • Work collaboratively across all key business functions with an emphasis on the sales organisation
  • Any other general duties related to the sales process

The major challenges of the role are:

  • Ability to prioritise, manage time and execute campaigns in a newsroom style fast-paced environment
  • Ability to have robust conversations with your customer base and handle feedback or rejection when sales prospecting
  • Understanding the dynamic nature of the industry including price positioning, channel management and various geographical fishing applications
  • Developing an intricate understanding of your accounts fishing markets, products, retail channels, consumer segments and competitor positioning
  • Capability to influence key stakeholders externally and cross-functionally within the company

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Formal training in Sales, preferably at degree level.
  • 5 years experience working in Sales, Account Management & or Customer Service
  • Strong background in maintaining and building new customer relationships preferably within a fast-paced outdoor, sporting or FMCG industries
  • Strong computer skills with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective, transparent communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, executional approach and aptitude to prioritise competing priorities autonomously
  • A burning enthusiasm to show what you’ve got and what heights you can take the business!

Extra Skills that would complement the role:

  • SAP experience
  • A passion for fishing, and sound knowledge of the industry you can lean on day to day
