With only 10 days until the Tasmanian election on the 23rd of March recreational fishers in Tasmania are disappointed that neither of the major parties have released policies for recreational fishing in Tasmania.
Voters have been able to pre-poll vote since the 4th of March and have had no idea what the fishing future holds for them under the next government and that is disappointing given the upheavals and uncertainty with the recent scale fishery review.
AFTA urge both the government and opposition to be transparent and release their fishery policies immediately, so recreational fishers know what the fishing future in Tasmania holds for them.
