Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation (ARFF) is encouraging Aussies to celebrate Gone Fishing Day on Sunday, October 8.
Are you ready to embark on an incredible fishing adventure with your little ones?
With the theme of ‘For the Future of Fishing’, get out there and take part in Australia’s Gone Fishing Day, where we’re putting the spotlight on celebrating children, kids, and the wonderful tradition of passing down the love for fishing to the next generation.
ARFF is a not-for-profit recreational fishing peak body that undertakes to promote the benefits of sustainable recreational fishing to the public and to ensure the maintenance and growth of the fishing population throughout Australia; grow awareness across the fishing community on ethical, environmental and safety aspects of sustainable recreational fishing and to promote the accessibility of sustainable recreational fishing activities to persons of all age group, genders and ethnic origins.
ARFF’s Interim Chair, Cassie Price says ‘ARFF is proud to be the face of the recreational fishing peak bodies across the sector in Australia, we are a diverse and complex array of people who all have the same interest, to keep fishing great for Australia and to get the next generation out and fishing!’
Grab your family or a friend and explore your favourite fishing place. Australia is blessed with some of the most beautiful and pristine local environments in the world, and Gone Fishing Day is a great excuse to get out explore and celebrate fishing across our beautiful country.
