A key action of the Recreational Fishing Development Plan is to make fishing more accessible to more people.
NT Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) is developing the design of disability/all ability access platforms for boat ramps at Dinah Beach, Shady Camp and Corroboree. AFANT and Fisheries NT are seeking your input.
The purpose of the platforms is to increase accessibility for all users utilising the facilities. The access ramps will make it easier to load mobility impaired users into and out of their boats whilst the boat is still on its trailer.
The design will be similar to the recently installed access platforms at Daly River and East Arm boat ramps.
We would like to know; have you used an access platform? If so, which ones? And do you have any feedback for us on the design and height of the access platforms?
Let AFANT know by emailing the office: office@afant.com.au or calling 08 8945 6455.
